Elizabeth Reed Ashby McGee

Funeral services for Elizabeth Reed Ashby McGee, age 83 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday August 29, 2015 at 2 PM at the Coldwater Methodist Church with Rev. George Turke officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. McGee passed away Thursday August 27, 2015 at Donalson Care Center.
A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. McGee was the daughter of the late Thomas Hudson and Lorena Mae Sumners Ashby. She was a former clerk at Wal-Mart and was a member of the Coldwater
Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughter Teresa (Phillip) Bain of Fayetteville, son Reggie (Tina) McGee of Fayetteville, step-sons Eddie McGee, Billie (Susie) McGee, Bobby (Linda) McGee, step-daughter Peggy Osterhoudt, brothers James Edward (Wilma) Ashby, Joe Thomas (Peggy) Ashby, Billy Carol Ashby, Shelley Hudson Ashby, sisters Martha Marie Hatchett , Dorothy Jean (Steve) Henderson and Joyce Ann Davis, six grandchildren Ginger Bolles, Travis McGee, Amanda Sisk, Rodney Howell, Chassidy McGee and Judy Bain, nine great-grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening August 28, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Coldwater Methodist Church.

So many memories gather in my mind of times spent with Liz. So much like her daddy in attitude, yet with her precious mother slipping in too. I haven’t seen Liz in a while but I know that there is a big Ashby reunion up there in Paradise right now, lots of hugs and kisses going round.

You all have my prayers and my love right now. Hold dear the good and happy memories. Love to you all.

Reggie, I will never forget your mother. She was so good to our boys when we lived at Molino. They loved her as a babysitter. You are in our thoughts and prayers..
