Edwin Bruce Springthorpe, age 71, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 in Huntsville Hospital. A native of Danville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Edwin and Grace Vivian Harper Springthorpe, a veteran of the United States Navy and a professional engineer. He was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Mr. Springthorpe was survived by his wife: Linda Tyler Springthorpe of Fayetteville, two daughters: Virginia Collins and husband Bobby of Fayetteville, and B. J. Barnhart of Miami, Florida, one son: Steven Springthorpe and wife Patricia of Cary, North Carolina, one brother: Robert David Springthorpe of Lakeland, Florida and grandchildren: Gracin, Gracelin, Tyler, Wesley, Elizabeth and Jackson.
Mr. Springthorpe was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home honored to assist his family.
