Edith Hillis Caldwell

Funeral service for Mrs. Edith Hillis Caldwell, age 87, of Clarkrange, TN, formerly of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery. Mrs. Caldwell passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Caldwell was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late L. Eugene and Sarah Lou Hassell Stewart Killian. She was a seamstress for Serbin and a member of the Blanche Church of God.

Survivors include her daughters Ernestine Simmons, Faye Williams, Jewell Jacobs, Darlene Caldwell all of Fayetteville, TN, Sybil Dye of Lynchburg, TN, Wanda Williams of Clarkrange, TN, son Ray Hillis of Flintville, TN, step-children Nell C. Jones of Fayetteville, TN, Gayle C. Glover of Lebanon, TN, Jackie R. Caldwell of Fayetteville, TN, 22 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 11 step-great grandchildren and 1 step-great-great grandchild. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Grady O. Hillis, second husband James D. Caldwell, daughter Phyllis Ellen Hillis, son Randall Hillis, grandson Scott Williams and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
