I remember well teaching at Flintville High School and meeting Earl for the first time in 1957, not knowing that we would serve on the Lincoln County comission together years later. He was very helpful to me in learning how the commission worked and how to sort the “wheat from the chaff” in what was important to the people of Lincoln County. I never saw him without a smile, a hearty greeting and warm handshake. I considered him a friend.

I was so sad to hear of Mr. Vann’s passing, he used to be one of my customers at the bank and we had many great conversations about my grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Money Decker and my daddy “Cowboy” Decker. He was always so sweet to me! You will be in my thoughts!

Thank you Stephanie. I too have wonderful memories of you dad and grandfather.
Some my own, some from tales told to me by daddy.

May he rest in peace and the family find peace in their hearts to carry them through this holiday and through the years to follow.
