Dr. Wakefield was our family’s dentist for many years, until he retired. We all loved him. I felt especially blessed to be able to also worship with him and Nancy once I started to church at FUMC. Such a fine, fine man!

Paul was an excellent dentist, a very good man, and a very good friend and neighbor. It was a blessing to get to spend time with both Paul and Nancy at the nursing home while I was there. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time. Reeves and Janice

Dear Family of Dr. Wakefield,
I have practiced dentistry in Spring Hill, Tn since 1983. Shortly after I began, Dr. Wakefield had eye surgery and did not recover as fast as he had hoped. I needed something to do to supplement my very new practice. Dr. Wakefield’s misfortune became my good fortune. I came to Fayetteville one day a week for 10 weeks to complete the dentistry he had started prior to his surgery. My good fortune was getting to spend those 10 days with one of the best dentists and finest Christian men I’ve ever met. I am grateful for the extremely positive influence of a colleague who became a friend. I’m sorry I can not attend his memorial service. You have my condolences. I will hold all of you in my prayers for the coming days.

I value the time I knew Paul as a fellow student at UT dental school in Memphis, and treasure the moments we shared together at times following dental school. He was a very class man, and loved by all. Barbara joins me in sending sympathies to Nancy and family. Our very best to all. Reuben(NIB) and Barbara Pelot
