Dorothy Hampton Hemphill

Funeral services for Dorothy Hampton Hemphill, age 88 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband James Nathan Hemphill. Mrs. Hemphill passed away Thursday afternoon at her residence.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late John H. and Eva Crabtree Hampton. Mrs. Hemphill was a homemaker and a member of the Park City Baptist Church.

Survivors include her brother Bill Hampton of Howell, nieces and nephews Geraldine Edde of Fayetteville, Edwina Hazelwood of Fayetteville Phillip Moyers of Howell, Tommy Hampton of

Howell, Connie Porter of Howell and Henry Hampton of Athens, AL, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son George Michael Hemphill who passed away in 1955, sister Grace Moyers and brother Jack Hampton.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Park City Baptist Church.
