Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Dickey, age 85, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband Lois Kyle Dickey who passed away in 1970. Mrs. Dickey passed away Sunday morning, July 26th, at Lincoln Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Elbert Benton and Ruth Elora Pitts Gautney, she was a native of Lincoln County, formerly employed with Jonathon Logan, Serbin, and Lee, and a longtime member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons Hugh Dickey and wife Beth of Fayetteville and Kyle Dickey and Donna of Fayetteville, daughter Karen Jones and husband Ernie of Brentwood, grandchildren John Marshall Dickey and Anna Claire Dickey, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
