Doris Faye Cross Mann

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Faye Cross Mann, age 77, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Rice and Danny Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 19, 2020 from 6pm until 8pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

Doris was born on December 11, 1942, to the late Annie Pearl and Charlie Morris Cross in Lincoln County, TN. She passed away on June 17, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. Doris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cared for her family and others that she encountered throughout her life. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. Doris was a seamstress for Serbin, Lee Company, and Blue Ridge before she retired.

Doris is survived by her husband, Robert Wilburn Mann, Jr.; son, Steven Lane Barnes of Fayetteville; step-sons, Robert (Sherry) Mann of Huntland, Eddie (Shanna) Mann of Fayetteville, and Greg (Christy) Mann of Flintville; special niece, Kristi Hyde; grandchildren, Jacob Bagby, Gracie Bagby, Ashley Edge, Jarod Mann, Dalton Mann, Travis Mann, and Ryan Mann; brother, Billy (Rebecca) Cross of Hamilton, MS; sisters, Ruth Caudill of Louisville, KY, Geneva (Joe) Edwards of Rome Mountain, TN, and Joyce (Willie) Smith of Ardmore, TN; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Shields Cross, Wendle Cross, Thomas Cross, Charlie Cross, Joe Cross, Clay Cross, Martha Black, and Peggy Cross Yarborough.
