My wife Angela and I send our deepest sympathy to the family. Don was truly one of the best friends that I have ever known. I met him 50 years ago at Kelly AFB in Tx and we spent a year in Vietnam together. He became even more than a friend from then on he is not only my “brother”; but a brother in Christ. We experienced many priceless moments together during those times. Thru it all he is always “Don” just who he is. He remained a kind, considerate, down to earth country boy with those values that you didn’t shake up. When I think of our times spent together I always just have to smile because as true friends are ; we didn’t have to talk to or see each other every day but when we did it was as if we had never been apart. I already miss him terribly just to know that he isn’t at the end of the phone but happy to know that he was ready and he is now in heaven with Darlene. Love you Don!!

Pam,
I never knew Don was your brother. I am so saddened to learn of his passing. Don ate supper with us a lot at the round table at the Fried Tomato. May God wrap His loving and comforting arms around the family at this time.
With Sympathy,
Joe and DeLois Thompson

Don and I went to the Dyersville Farm Toy show together in 1989. Brad was just a young boy. He came several times to our West Tennessee Farm Toy show. He was a wonderful person and friend and will be missed in the farm toy family. I am so sorry for your loss. RIP Don
