Memorial service for Dolores “Dee” Thaxton White, age 79 of Petersburg, will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church Fayetteville. Mrs. White passed away Monday at Lincoln Medical Center.
She was a native of Barnesville, GA, a dental assistant, a member of the 1st United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star 314 Austell, GA
Survivors include sons A. E. “Andy” and wife Rayford Tippens of Powder Springs, GA and M.T. “Rocky” and wife Jennifer Tippens of Petersburg, TN, granddaughter Allison Sheree Tippens of Powder Springs, GA, and step-granddaughters Michelle (Robert) Dyck and Kathy (Joseph) Rousey of GA, one great-grandson and nine step-great-grandchildren, one sister Ellen Gorman of Austell, GA. She was preceded in death by first husband E. P. Tippens of Mableton, GA and second husband Charles R. White III of Petersburg, TN.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 1-3p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Fayetteville. TN.
