Delma Pauline Beddingfield Smith

Funeral service for Delma Pauline Beddingfield Smith, age 94, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery beside her husband, Thomas H. Smith, Jr.

Mrs. Smith, a native of Lincoln County, TN, was born on May 18, 1923 to the late Elmo and Donnie Beddingfield. She was a member of the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She passed away on August 14, 2017 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Survivors include many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Betsy Smith Rogers and siblings, Louise Atchley, Junior Beddingfield, Wanda Smith, and Alise Beddingfield.

Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11 AM until time of service at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 1015 Lewisburg Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334 or the charity of your choice. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Smith.

We loved Mrs Delma! always kind-have good memories of Mr Tom and her and Betsy. She had some people that loved her and took care of her-she was blessed to have them-praying for God’s comfort at this time

We were so sorry to hear of our sweet Ms. Delma’s passing. She was a precious lady and loved very much by our family. Wish we could have been there for her funeral but sickness has prevented that. We shall surely miss our visits with her.

She was the best neighbor growing up. I loved visiting with her and Mr. Smith all the time. She and Mr. Smith will always have a special place in my heart. I loved them both dearly.
