Deborah Jean McDonald

It is with regret we announce the passing of Deborah Jean McDonald, age 64, of Fayetteville, TN. Ms. McDonald was born on August 23, 1955 in Lincoln County, TN to the late George and Estelle Talley Bright. She passed away on May 17, 2020 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL.

Deborah was a native of Lincoln County, TN and a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 years at nursing homes in Fayetteville and for a few years in Knoxville, TN. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and loved each of her patients dearly.

Survivors include her son, Melvyn McDonald; daughter, Brittany McDonald both of Fayetteville; siblings, George (Dorothy) Bright of Louisville, KY, Robert (Annie) Bright of Knoxville, Angela Bright of Fayetteville, Louie Bright of Fayetteville, and Tonya Lightfoot of Lewisburg; granddaughter, Skylar Spicer; and nieces and nephews, Gary (Crysa) Bright, Dwayne Roberts, Dorian Bright, Michael Bright, Samantha Bright and (fiancé Danny Hollis), Anthony Bright, Quenton (Lindsay) Macon, and Christopher Bright.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no public gathering at this time. A private family service will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery with Pastor Kathy Bryson, Deacon George Bright and Deacon Robert Bright officiating. The family invites you to share memories at higginsfh.com.

We are so very sorry for the passing of your mom, sister, grandmother, and aunt. We didn’t lose her, God just kept His promise and came back to get her. May the peace of God forever keep you. Remember, Cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you.

My condolences to the family of Deborah. I went to school with Robert and use to live across the street from the Bright family in Madden homes. God bless the Bright family
