Dean Carlisle

Funeral services for Mr. Dean Carlisle, age 61, of Meridianville, Alabama, will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell and Bro. Milton Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Carlisle was a native of Hammond, IN and son of the late Homer B Carlisle and Sarah Lee Woods Brewer. He was a member of the Park City Baptist Church, loved Tennessee Football and NASCAR. Mr. Carlisle never met a stranger and always had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Greta Vel Holder Carlisle of Meridianville, AL; daughter Heather Carlisle Taylor and her husband Nickey Taylor; grandchildren Marlenea and Chasidy Taylor; siblings Ronnie Carlisle, Shirley (Willard) Medley, Dwight Carlisle, and Randy (Kim) Carlisle all of Fayetteville; beloved dogs Chloe, Gin, and Brita; and a parrot Rocco all of Meridianville, AL. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carlisle was preceded in death by his brothers Jerry and Tommy Carlisle, and a sister Wilma Martin.

Visitation with the family will be 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fayetteville – Lincoln County Humane Society, 1718 Pulaski Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Dean Carlisle.
