I lost my old Norris Creek fishing buddy. When I would come visit my grandparents, Daryl and I would get together and fish the creeks and ponds on occasion. He had some great saying and was always great company for a city boy. He would talk about Norris creek being known for its smallmouth bass and large mouth snakes. A lot of great memories, including almost getting washed away when a storm passed through way up the creek and we knew nothing about it. We turned around to see a wall of water coming around the corner. I went to one side of the creek and Daryl went to the other. We walked back to the bridge and that’s when Dan came driving up to warn us about the storm. We laughed and joked about it but it was a lot closer call than we wanted to admit. We are sad and will miss our loved ones that have passed, but the reunion is going to be worth it all. See you soon Cuz.

Carrie,

Words cannot begin to convey how broken our hearts are for you, Candice, Cortney, Carlee, the grandkids, & your whole family. Daryl’s love & devotion for you and his girls and everyone who was blessed to know him will never be forgotten. He led by example & lived life to the fullest and made everyone he met feel good. Memories of his snickering little laugh & his mischievous spirit will always make me smile. Hunter & Mackenzie have such precious memories they will forever treasure of being with Daryl & their Daddy hunting. We love you and are praying for you all. I so wish I was there to give you a big hug. No doubt Heaven is a better place because Daryl is there. With all our love, Amy
