CS1 (Ret.) Charles Wayne Daniel

It is with regret we announce the passing of CS1 (Ret.) Charles Wayne Daniel, US Navy age 85, of Fayetteville, TN. Charles was born on January 17, 1935 in Lick Skillet, AL to the late James A and Vera L Williams Daniel. He passed away on June 13, 2020, in Mayfield, KY, surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was a graduate of Central High School. After graduation he served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Commissaryman Petty Officer, First Class. Mr. Daniel was a member of the Camargo Church of Christ. He enjoyed Junkin and selling his treasures at his antique store in Parks City.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda (Jerry) Manning of Mayfield, KY; brothers, Jerry (Sue) Daniel of Fayetteville, Keith (Mary) Daniel of Memphis, TN, and Harry (Barbara) Daniel of Memphis; sister, Linda Adcox of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Shannon (Amanda) Manning of Dukedom, TN, Jake Manning of Mayfield, KY, and Carley (Justin) Jones of Hazel Green AL; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Rochelle Daniel; and sons, Phillip, Michael, and Terry Daniel.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens, Garden of Honor, with Military Honors. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until the time of service at 2 PM on Monday at Higgins.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lincoln County Tribute Chair, Cary B. Sullivan, P.O. Box 470, Fayetteville, TN 37334, in memory of Mr. Daniel.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of CS1 (Ret.) Charles Wayne Daniel, US Navy.

In accordance with State of Tennessee Executive Order No. 38 by Governor Bill Lee, social gatherings are limited to no more than 50 participants. Charles had a great sense of humor. He made many days better just by being there. He will be missed.
