Clyde Edward “Bud” Jean

Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Edward “Bud” Jean, age 86, of Kelso will be conducted Friday at 10AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Kimery and Bro. Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbell Cemetery beside his first wife Martha Nell Harmening Jean. Mr. Jean passed away Tuesday night at Lincoln Medical Center.

He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Clyde Wilson and Ida Norman Jean. Mr. Jean served in the Merchant Marines, retired from Redstone Arsenal and was a member of the Corders Crossroads Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Leara Mae Paseur Jean of Kelso, children Kenny Jean and wife Brenda, Stan Jean and wife Linda, Diane Campbell and husband Danny, Donald Jean all of Kelso, Ronald Jean and wife Debra of the Lincoln Community, Jimmy Jean and wife Rhonda of Cornersville, daughter-in-law Kathy Jean of Kelso, step-children Ricky Shockley and wife Kathy of Park City, Mark Shockley and wife Donna of Hazel Green, and Rhonda Shockley Decker and husband Randy of Flintville, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild. Mr. Jean was preceded in death by son Jeff Jean, sister Lela Harris and son-in-law Wilburn “Putt” Satterfield.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 4-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
