Charles Davis Jean

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Charles Davis Jean, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Kirkland Cemetery with Reverend Father George Panthananickal officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home.

Charles was born April 26, 1939, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Romie and Catherine Dunn Jean. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked as a civilian contractor in Vietnam and for government contractors as an electronic component specialist. Charles was a member of St Anthony Catholic Church and he enjoyed traveling. He loved working around the house on various projects and he enjoyed decorating his home and celebrating every holiday. Charles was devoted to his family, and he especially loved his grandchildren. He passed away March 13, 2022, at Donalson Care Center.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Katherine Jean; children, Elizabeth (Dennis) Rose of Fayetteville, Linda (John) McDonough of Hillsboro, and Michael (Dorothy) Jean of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Bonnie (J.T.) Edmondson, Holly (Stuart) McLaren, Debra (Cain) Campbell, Craig (Sarah) McDonough, Tessa Thomas, Gina Sons, and Wayne Jean; eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
