Funeral service for Carol Ann Wolaver Shelton, age 79, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 3pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Ryan Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1pm until 3pm on Sunday at Higgins.
Carol Ann was born December 26, 1943, to the late Billy and Alma Payne Wolaver. She was a seamstress at Serbin and also sewed for the public. Carol Ann later worked at Walmart. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, and horses, but found the most pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol Ann passed away at her home March 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Survivors include her caring husband of 62 years, Paul David Shelton; children, Bill (Robin) Shelton, Diane (Rick) Tate, Denise (Wayne) Roland, P.D. (Londa) Shelton; grandchildren, George Shelton, Traci Shelton, Jenni Collins (Trent Brown), Ryan (Candace) Tate, Travis (Julie) Tate, Christi (Matt) Haney, Kelsey (Jeremy) Taylor, Phil (DeWayna) Shelton, Callie Shelton (fiancé Jordan Hedges), Jamie Russell, Kayla Hipp, and Logan Hipp; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Wolaver; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Joe Wolaver and Clarence Wolaver.

I am so very sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul… While I never met her, I have heard beautiful stories of her and how she showed up in the lives of people she cared about.
