Brett “Buck” Buchanan

Funeral service for Mr. Brett “Buck” Buchanan, age 49, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Gaskill officiating. Burial will follow in Talley Cemetery.

Brett was born on March 28, 1969 in Lincoln County, TN to Jimmy and Diane Buchanan. He worked for Goodman Manufacturing for 30 years. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball. He was an outstanding horseman and was a member of the Spotted Saddle Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association, he loved trading, and Alabama Football. Brett loved the Lord, his family and was a faithful member of the Howell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Buchanan passed away on March 22, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 16 years, Mandy Smith Buchanan; son, Wyatt Dale Buchanan; brother, Brian Lynn Buchanan of Huntsville, AL; father-in-law, David J. Smith; mother-in-law, Debbie Devereaux; and devoted best friend, Roger Mitchell.

Visitation with the family will be held at 3 PM until 7 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908, or Multi-County Cancer Support Network, in support of the Fabulous Fifties Show, P. O. Box 633, Decherd, TN 37324. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Buchanan.
