Bonnie Jean Spalding Moss

Funeral service for Bonnie Jean Spalding Moss, age 72, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Higgins Funeral Home with John Thorpe officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until 2 PM on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born on August 26, 1953, in Flintville, TN, to the late Charles Spalding and Barbara Jean Church Spalding. A gifted and passionate cook, she poured her heart into preparing meals for her family, friends, and the entire community. In 1997, she opened Bill’s Pool Room, where she lovingly fed and welcomed customers for 22 years until her retirement in 2020. Bonnie passed away on August 14, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN.

Survivors include her husband, Rex Moss; daughter, Victoria Leigh Ann (Travis) Fowler; stepdaughters, Natalie Duckett, and Sonya Savage; grandchildren, Chelsea Woods, Madisyn Woods, Breanna Tillery, Khloe Holley; Kaiden Alexander Fowler, Rayna Holley, Eric Neal, Dionna Savage, and Josh (Alanna) Savage; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Larry Kevin Woods, and her grandmother who lovingly raised her, Estelle Church.

Lots of memories with this sweet woman. She loved them babies for sure! She will be missed. RIP 😞

I remember that time me and naynay Bonnie stayed in the apt above the pool room cause she had a feceling that it was going to snow and that clock on the courthouse went off ever hour we didnt much sleep but we was able to open the pool room at 3 am I had a really good time with naynay Bonnie I love you and I’m really going to miss you I’m glad I came over and seen you the other day tell Kevin hey for me I love you forever and always RIP NayNay Bonnie……
