Funeral services for Bobby Ray Pepper, age 88, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 2pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12pm until 2pm on Thursday at Higgins.
Bobby was born March 7, 1936, in Lincoln County, TN to the late J.C. and Minnie Odell Baker Pepper and he grew up on a farm in the Taft community. He was a veteran of the US Army and a service technician with Sears for 32 years. Bobby was a member of Taft Church of Christ for many years where he served as elder and was currently a member of Camargo Church of Christ. He passed away September 8, 2024, in Donalson Care Center.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Barbara Bryant Pepper; children, Marty (Marian) Pepper and Lorrie (Gary) Woodard; son-in-law, Kenneth Yarbrough; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Yarbrough, Jonathan (Ina) Yarbrough, Ashley (Jay) Strode, Kayla (Matthew) Camp, Marlayna (Aaron) Dotson, Rachel LaCasse, Erin Woodard ; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Owen Strode, Felicity, Chloe LaCasse, Alexandria, Adrian, Alex Yarbrough, Oliver Dotson, Harper Camp, and Joshua Yarbrough; brother, James Thurman Pepper; and many extended family members. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pepper was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Pepper Yarbrough; daughter-in-law, Donna Luna Pepper; and brother, John Clayton Pepper.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bailey Manor for the care shown to their husband and father over the last two years.

Many fond and precious memories made with this family. I spent so much time with them in their home, on vacations and around their table. A wonderful church family as well. Prayers for each of you as you go through this difficult time. Love you all.

Bobo was always looking for that ride to Taft. I will never be able to pass thru Taft without thinking of him. It was a pleasure and honor to get to be part of his life and family. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Thank you for trusting us with his care. You all will forever be part of our Bailey Manor family.
