Bobby Edwin Ferguson, 87 of Athens, AL (formerly of Fayetteville, TN), passed away on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, at his daughter’s residence. Mr. Ferguson was born on April 8th, 1934, to Carroll Ed and Ellan Jones Ferguson.
Mr. Ferguson is survived by his children Bobby Todd Ferguson (June), Tim Ferguson (Diane), Tracie Huntley (William), and Tammie Woodard (Scott); grandchildren Tiffany Ferguson, Jenna Lee Ferguson, Jesse Ferguson, William Cole Huntley, Rebekah Ellen Faris, Anna Kathryn Woodard, and Sarah Elizabeth Woodard; great-grandchildren Kaylee Burnette, Kenzie Burnette, Ivey Joy Faris, Ruthie Grace Faris, Silas David Faris, and Maevry Ferguson.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife Maple E. Ferguson; and brothers William Ferguson and Jackie Ferguson.
A graveside service for Mr. Ferguson will be Saturday, October 16th, 2021, at 12:30pm at Prospect Cemetery in Park City, Tennessee, with Jeff May officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00-11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, Athens, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
