Bob L. Bryan

Funeral services for Mr. Bob L. Bryan, age 75, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson officiating.  Burial will be held at 4 PM Wednesday in Hillsboro Methodist Church Cemetery in Hillsboro with military honors.  Mr. Bryan passed away Saturday afternoon at his residence.

A son of the late Leon and Verda Ruth Sartain Bryan, he was a native of Coffee County Bob served in the Navy on the Destroyer USS Blue during the Korean War and was involved in the testing of the atomic bomb. He was employed with Volkswagon during the first years of the “bug”.  He then went to work as Service Manager with Honda in the early 80’s and was employed with Jerry Damson Honda until September 2008.  Bob’s greatest loves are his family, his service to his country, and his involvement in the automobile business.  He cherished the wonderful friendships he was blessed with through his work.  His employer, Jerry Damson, and his customers have been such an important part of his life.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Burger Bryan of Fayettevile, sons Steven Bryan of Nashville and Matthew Bryan and wife Beth of Fayetteville, daughter Diane Florida and husband John of Murfreesboro, cherished grandchildren Morgan and Harrison Florida and Candice and Nathan Bryan, several sisters and a brother. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or WW II Veterans Honor Flight Attn: Tom O’Neal, 300 E. Auburn Ave., Springfield, Ohio.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home.
