B’Lisa Harmening King

B’Lisa Harmening King, age 60, passed away at her home on Friday, October 27, 2017 after a short illness.

She was born to Charles and June Harmening on September 8, 1957. She was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She was also a graduate of the Atlanta School of Paralegal. She lived in Knoxville for several years and then moved back to the Fayetteville area.

She worked as a Sales Manager for the Hilton Hotel in Huntsville and then was Director of Sales for the Embassy Suites Hotel for the last eleven years. She enjoyed watching college football, especially the Tennessee Vols, and going to the beach.

Ms. King is survived by her son, Kyler King of Mobile, AL; mother, Mrs. Charles Harmening of Fayetteville; sister, Dee Puckett and brother-in-law, Tony Puckett of Hazel Green, AL; and niece, Morgan Puckett and cousin Martha Teenor. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Lynn Hatfield; father, Charles Harmening; grandparents, Willie B. and Thelma Posey, and Mr. and Mrs. William Harmening; uncle, Bill Posey; and aunt, Sarah Byrd Posey.

Funeral service will be at 12 PM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10 AM until time of service. Memorials to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory would be appreciated. B’Lisa was responsible for setting up a blind date between one of her friends and me. This friend, Darlene Bledsoe, is the love of my life and we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in December. Thanks, “B”!

I feel I had only know B’Lisa for a short period of time…nearly 2 years, compared to some. But she touched my heart in such a way that I cannot even fathom Ms B’Lisa not being here with us. Person full of energy kind loving and caring very humble and loyal I will miss her and she was my friend , family and co worker. She stood by me. Love her.
