Billy Wayne Edmondson

Graveside service for Mr. Billy Wayne Edmondson, age 80 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm in Rose Hill Cemetery with Pastor Don Gray officiating. Mr. Edmondson passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital.

Mr. Edmondson was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late Carl W. and Ola Mae Edmondson and was preceded in death by his sister Nelle Howard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict. A retired local business owner for over 30 years, Mr. Edmondson owned and operated Auto Parlor Body Shop here in Fayetteville. A member of the Baptist faith, he attended the Rock Family Worship Center.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Pinkstaff Edmondson of Fayetteville; brother Joseph W. (Gloria) Edmondson of Fayetteville; three daughters Teresa (Jeff) Massey of Columbia, MO; Kay (Ronnie) Smith of Fayetteville; Kellie (Wendell) Clemons of Flintville; two sons Barry (Renee’) Edmondson of Prospect, TN and Brian (Tina) Edmondson of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren Christal, LaCarrie, Chase, Tyler, Peige, Corey, Roxi, Malaya, Christian and three great-grandchildren Hunter, Jacob, Paisley Mae.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1 until 2 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock Family Worship Center.

Ms. Pat, Brian, Tina, and families, please know our thoughts and prayers are with you during the difficult days ahead… May you find peace in knowing that Mr. Edmondson is whole once more, no longer suffering from pain but is now singing and rejoicing as he leisurely strolls the streets of Gold with our Lord Jesus….

So sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. I have wonderful memories of him from days at Elora. He was a long time friend to my family. May you have comfort and peace at the sad time.

Mr. Edmondson had done worked our vehicles at Auto Parlor Body shop, when we lived in Dellrose. He was such a nice person and always treated us with respect and quality work. He had a good work ethic and was so pleasant to talk with. We send our sincere condolences to his family and friends..

We loved the “bubble gum” man and will never forget him. The kids were so sad to hear that he has passed. We are praying for you and your family. We will miss him terribly but have some of our greatest memories with you guys.

Mrs. Pat and Family, So sorry to hear of Mr. Bill’s passing. I sold Mr. Bill GM parts for several years for Bill Heard Chevrolet in Huntsville. He was always very kind and a joy to deal with and I will miss him.
