Betty West Moyers, of Huntsville, AL and formally of Fayetteville TN. passed away Friday at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Hurricane Valley, Madison County, AL, and the daughter of the late Albert C. West and Mae West Pierce. She was an avid owl collector since 1979, a retired florist, former District Manager for House of Lloyd and Past Area Captain for TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensible), all while being a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by 4 daughters: Katrina Moyers Miller and her husband, Martin, of Huntsville, AL; Janice Moyers Batson and her husband, Joseph, of Cheyenne, WY; Anita Moyers Denny and her husband, Andy, of Newton, NC; and Ronda Paige Moyers of Huntsville, AL. 2 sons William T. Moyers and his wife, Barbara, of Smyrna, TN; Thomas Albert Moyers and his wife, Pam, of Thornton, CO; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 1 sister, Sara West Shelton and her husband Clyde, of Fayetteville, TN and 1 brother Ronald Wayne West and his wife, Diana, of Madison, TN. Mrs. Moyers is preceded in death by her husband William Thomas Moyers, Sr.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec 21, from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, TN. The services will be on Tuesday at 1pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
