Funeral services for Betty Mary Olsen Schweitzer, age 85, of Fayetteville will be conducted Saturday at 11am at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Jim Rogers, Rev. Tom Wilson and Rev. Julie Anna Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Watertown, CT at a later date. Mrs. Schweitzer passed away Thursday morning in Donalson Care Center.
Mrs. Schweitzer was a native of Waterbury, Ct and was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Charlotte Hamilton Olsen. She was a retired head bookkeeper at the Union National Bank and a member of the St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church. She was a member of the DAR for 32 years, the Eastern Star for 62 years and enjoyed her hobbies of sewing, knitting and quilting.
Survivors include her husband Thomas E Schweitzer of Fayetteville, sister Ruth Olsen of Fayetteville and several cousins in Watertown, Waterbury and Bethlehem, Connecticut.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
