Betty Joyce Hardiman, age 80, of Ardmore, TN, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at Donalson Care Center, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Betty found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from the challenge of a crossword puzzle to the quiet companionship of her cats.
Born in Lincoln County on December 30, 1945, to the late Roy Wesley and Mary Sue Hardiman, Betty was a hardworking woman who dedicated many years to Serbin, Blue Ridge Shirt, and Lincoln Manufacturing Companies. She was a member of the Coldwater Community Church. When she wasn’t caring for those around her, Betty enjoyed sewing, shopping, and settling in for a good mystery show.
She is survived by her siblings, Dwayne Hardiman, Bobby Hardiman, and Julia Atchley, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. Betty now joins her parents and her siblings, James Hardiman, Rev. Roy Hardiman, Jr., Linda Brooks, and Rosa Lee Hardiman, who preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with burial at New Grove Cemetery.
