Funeral service for Mrs. Betty Ann Gibson Mitchell, age 65, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Medium Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday at 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM.
Mrs. Mitchell was born on September 26, 1953 in Lincoln County, TN to Charles Dalton Gibson and the late Lorene Caldwell Pirtle. She was a member of Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Mitchell passed away on January 21, 2019.
Survivors include her father, Charles Dalton (Linda) Gibson of Illinois; daughters, Alison Mitchell (Jason) Campbell of Fayetteville, TN and Ashley Mitchell (Randy) Bills of Fayetteville, TN; sister, Carrie Jane Stevenson (Chad) Witt of Dellrose, TN; brother, Larry Gibson; grandchildren, Braxton Rhodes and Zoey Campbell; niece, Haley Witt (Isaiah) Dibello of Dellrose, TN; nephew, Morgan Stevenson Witt of Dellrose, TN; special friend, Vernell Pressnell of Fayetteville, TN; special cousin, DeLois (Joe) Thompson of Fayetteville, TN; several other cousins; and aunts, Lenis (Tom) Ganus of Fayetteville, NC and Bell Gibson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandson, James Taylor Campbell; brother, Bobby Gibson; aunt, Donna Sue Wells; and uncle, Doyle Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Neonatal ICU at Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 801 Clinton Ave. SE, Huntsville, AL 35801. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Mitchell.

I remember cute little Betty Ann Gibson at Boonshill School. Her looks didn’t change that much thru the years cause she still has that sweet little innocent face in the photo here. My sympathy to the family in their loss. Sincerely, Rexine
