Beatrice F. Williams

Graveside service for Beatrice F. Williams, age 99, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Kirkland Cemetery, with Tony Hardiman officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until 1PM on Monday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Beatrice was born on March 6, 1923, in Lincoln County, TN, to the late Herman and Lorena Bates Fife. She was a lifelong member of the Kirkland Baptist Church. Mrs. Beatrice was a devoted homemaker, owner of Williams Grocery at Camargo, and a farmer’s wife. Mrs. Williams enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and refereeing her grandchildren. She passed away on September 30, 2022, at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Sam Franklin “Frank” Williams, Jr. and his wife Linda of Brentwood, Joan Hardiman of Fayetteville, and Linda Pogue of Fayetteville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Sam Franklin Williams, Sr., sister, Mary Frances Mullins, and a grandson, James Doyle Hardiman.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Beatrice F. Williams.

Such a sweet lady. I have eaten a many of her sandwiches and she would have it no other way but to peel the tomatoes. I also remember her educating local farmers on planting by the signs. You never plant when the signs are in the bowels she’d say. Snd she was right. The family is in our prayers.
