Barbara Neal Simms

Graveside service for Barbara Neal Simms, age 81 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Friday at 1 PM at Stewart Cemetery with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Barbara was born on July 2, 1939 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Thomas and Aliene Renfro Henderson. She worked as a fabric cutter for Jonathan Logan until their closing, and then she went home to care for her family. Barbara was of the Baptist faith. She passed away on January 20, 2021 at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Randy (Rhonda) Wilbanks, David (Wanda) Wilbanks, Jack (Donna) Simms, Jerry (Susan) Simms; granchildren, Wesley (Kelly) Wilbanks, Ashley Norris, Zachary (Erica) Wilbanks, Christopher Wilbanks, Christin Wilbanks, Mark (Brandi) Simms, Mindy (Joe) Jennings, Jennifer Simms, Jason Simms; great-grandchildren Trey, Jayden, Blakelynn, Baylin, Caiden, Chloe, Cabella, Brice, Braylon, Brady, Farrah, and Samuel. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wayne Simms, daughter, Debbie Pennington, and brother, Larry Henderson.

So sorry to hear that our dear “cuz’ Barbara has passed away. We were such good friends although we lived miles apart. Thank you David for calling our home to give us the sad news. Prayers for our family to heal for we lost an angel on earth who is in heaven now with our heavenly family.
