Your mother was such a sweet and loving person. While I had not seen her for several years, I thought of her often. She has been in my prayers recently since I heard of her health problems. I used to own the craft store across the street when she had the store on the corner and still have a couple of things I got from her then. We talked often back then and the thing I remember about her most is how her eyes sparkled when she talked about her children. She was so proud of all of you. She will be missed.

Words cannot express my sadness in hearing of the passing of Barbara. She was my playmate, my friend, my confidante for many years. With her passing there is a giant hole in my heart that will never heal. I will remember her singing outside my window old Rosemary Clooney songs as a child..of her holding my hand as we drove to the first day of school..and the many conversations we had during school reunions and encounters when I came home to visit..and her pride in talking about her children. She was a wonderful human being..and you are her legacy. May that love guide you in dealing with your loss.

I didn’t know! I read it in the paper. Gosh, I’m so sorry! Laurie, sweet, sweet Laurie! Lee, who I feel like grew up at my house, and Lisa, I am so very sorry. I was in a bridge club with your mother many, many years back. She was a lovely person. May our loving God bless and keep you as you go through your grief. Patsy Crawford
