Barbara Jean Kearns

Funeral service for Mrs. Barbara Jean Kearns, age 69, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Hudgins and Bro. Billy Langford officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery. Mrs. Kearns passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Kearns was a native of Fayetteville, TN, the daughter of the late Mack and Bessie Mae Johnson Speck. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kirkland Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Vincent Kearns of Fayetteville, TN, sons Ronald Bailey of Hazel Green, AL, Kerry Bailey of Kileen, TX, Jeff Bailey of Vinemont, AL, Lee Kearns of Huntsville, AL, sisters Ruby Hamby of Antioch, TN, Rachel Mann of Harriman, TN, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kirkland Baptist Church, 655 Ardmore Hwy, Taft, TN 38488.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I am praying for you all and love you. I so wish I could be there.. she will always hold a very special place in my heart forever.. I feel like I lost a piece of daddy in her death..

Vince, words can not start to express our sorrow for your loss. Bobbie was such a good friend to both Christine and I making us feel so welcome and at home every time we visited.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and you all your family at this time and we are sure she will be in peace looking down on us with her usual smile.

Barabara was a wonderful Mother in law. Still remember the first time I met her and Vince. They welcome me in there family
And have always treated me like a daughter. I have a lot of respect for them both and I’m gonna miss you dearly. I know your dancing around in heaven looking down on all of us. I love you dearly and I’m gonna miss your wonderful smile and laugh.
