Barbara Ellen Taylor Quick

It is with regret we announce the passing of Mrs. Barbara Ellen Taylor Quick, age 71, of Flintville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Cantrell and Pastor Mark Teet officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, May 5 at Higgins.

Barbara was born December 31, 1950, in Lincoln County, TN into the large and loving family of the late Edward B. and Maudie Mae Mearse Taylor. She was a member of New Market Holiness Church. Barbara was a homemaker who was skilled at gardening, sewing, and cooking and she enjoyed spending time outside fishing and playing ball with her grandchildren. Most importantly she loved raising and caring for her family and her greatest role was that of Memaw. Barbara passed away at her home surrounded by her family on May 2, 2022.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Wayne Quick; daughters, April (Alan) Huskey and Valorie (Richie) Trussell; bonus daughter, Mindy (Michael) Okesky; grandchildren, Taylor (Ethan) Finlayson, Ginger (Jessie) Wooten, Callaway (Celena) Trussell, Alaina (Will) Martin, Noah (Adeline) Huskey, Joseph Huskey, Emma Trussell and Luke Trussell; bonus grandchildren, Ethan, Riley ,Kayli and Isaac Okesky; great-grandchildren, Waylon Trussell, Athena and Atlas Finlayson, and Hudson, Lynden, and Max Wooten; sisters, Jeanette Hillis, Anita Jeans, Rochelle Russell, Elizabeth Stines, Debbie Mitchell, and Rebecca Turner; and brothers, Larry Taylor and David Taylor. And a host of friends and family that were near and dear to her heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Dye and Eddie Mae Bullard; and brother, Robert Taylor.
