Barbara Allen Schou

Barbara Allen Schou passed away September 25, 2011 at Lynchburg Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

Barbara was born in Pensacola, Florida, to Robert Cecil Allen and his wife Nell Smith Allen. She grew up in Fayetteville, TN and lived most of her life there. She loved horses and fondly remembered showing Walking Horses in her youth.

Barbara attained a Bachelors Degree in Accounting at the University of Alabama. She worked nearly 30 years in Civil Service, much of it at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama where she worked in Acquisition purchasing weapon systems for the government. She also worked at the office of the Inspector General.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 12 years Carl Schou, her sister Jeannie Allen Noles, her brother Robert Cecil Allen, and her sons Michael Reynolds and Joe Reynolds, as well as grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept 28, between 5 and 8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home, 213 Market St East, Fayetteville, TN. Services will be held 10 AM Thursday, Sept 29, at Washington St Church of Christ, Fayetteville, TN.
