Funeral services for Annie Sue Dickey Parks, age 96 of Mulberry, will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David Arrington officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband William Russell (Billy) Parks. Mrs. Parks passed away Tuesday December 9, 2014 in Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Martin Franklin and Mary Brooke Peck Dickey. Mrs. Parks was a homemaker and a member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters Donna Parks-Redd and husband Fred of Fort Worth, TX, Billie Sue Parks-Boyer of Smithsburg, MD, one son Russell Dickey Parks and wife Bridget McFerrin of Fayetteville, ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by son-in-law Harold Boyer
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 12 p.m to 2 p.m at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mulberry United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 144, Mulberry, TN 37359

Many years had passed since I had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Sue but ran into her a year ago when we were both patients at Donalson Skilled Care. At that time I had the pleasure of meeting a very devoted son who came for a visit everyday. Back in the fifties and sixties I knew Ms. Sue and always loved how she wore her hair on top of her head and was always so neat and attractive. I knew she was married to Mr. Billy , that they lived in Mulberry, and had the used car business, Just had to let you know that I send my deepest sympathy and congratulations on her long and full life. May she rest in her heavenly home.

Donna, I am so sorry about your mom. Have a lot of good memories at your house. Sue was such a good cook and I remember her cooking spaghetti and having our teacher over for dinner. Special memories of spending the night .

Donna, I have a lot of good memories at your house spending the night and eating Sue’s good cooking. I saw her at the nursing home a few yrs ago and she liked telling me about where you were and your family.

Billie Sue, Donna, Russell- I am so sorry to hear about your mom and sorry that I am unable to attend in person. I think Billie Sue and I had discussed at some time that she just might outlast all of us. Maybe she almost did! Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers as you reflect on your family while honoring your mother. A flood of happy Mulberry memories are flowing through my mind of our family’s friendship. Billie Sue, I will call you soon.

Jeff was on his way from Illinois and had car trouble . He wishes he could of attended . We are so grateful to be a part of Granny Sue’s legacy. Our family tree is blessed . Have a great celebration in Heaven !!
