Funeral services for Anna Delane “Dee” Holland, age 90, of Fayetteville will be conducted Wednesday at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband Dr. Thomas H. Holland who passed away in 1986. Mrs. Holland passed away Tuesday morning in Donalson Care Center.
She was a native of Yokum, TX, daughter of the late Walter and Mattye Hamilton Poth, and a retired Central High School Teacher. Mrs. Holland was a member of the Junior Round Dozen Club, Alpha Kappa Gamma, former city school board member, served on the Library Board and a former Sunday school teacher for the college class at Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ken Holland of Fayetteville and Thomas H. Holland, Jr of Fayetteville, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 11AM-2PM at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Fayetteville Lincoln County Library or the Fayetteville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
