Alex Steven Russell

Funeral service for Alex Steven Russell, age 62 of Flintville, will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Culver and Bro. Ricky Hyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Russell passed away Wednesday in Huntsville Hospital.
A native of Baxter, TN, he was the son of the late Alex and Edna G. Roney Russell and was employed by Suma Technology in Huntsville building missiles. He was a graduate of Central High School and was a member of the Pleasant Oak Holiness Church in Hazel Green. Mr. Russell was a loving husband, father and role model for his sons.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years Rochelle Taylor Russell of Flintville, two sons, Alex Jason (A J) Russell and wife Jamie of Fayetteville, Douglas Joel Russell and wife Broshia of Stevenson, AL, grandchildren Easton Alex Russell and Elias Drake Russell, brother Wayne Russell and wife Jane of Huntsville, two sisters Susie Romine and husband Mike of Fayetteville, Becky Patterson and husband Donnie of Fayetteville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Jean Utley.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
