Funeral services for Mr. Adell Thrasher, age 86 of Flintville, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 pm at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Martin and Rev. Carlos Beddingfield officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Thrasher passed away Monday at Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Thrasher was the son of the late E. J. and Lucy Rogers Thrasher and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from U. S. Steel in Chicago and was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Powell Thrasher of Flintville, daughter Shela Krell and husband Jim of Chicago, IL son Royce Thrasher of Flintville, sisters Idell Theil of Chattanooga, TN, Iva Walker of OH, Eva Nona of IL, and one brother Henry Thrasher of TX. Mr. Thrasher was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Suvilla Simmons, Hazel Simmons, Josie Burton, Delia Manard, Dee Thrasher, Arbie Thrasher and Gurley Thrasher.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from noon until time of services at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
