Funeral service for Mr. Robert Aaron Newgent, age 71, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 1 PM on Monday, 24, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Moores Cemetery, next to his wife Wanda Faye Newgent.

Mr. Newgent was born September 30, 1948 to the late Granville Lee and Tilda McKin Newgent. He owned and operated a service station for many years, and was member of the Holiness Church of God at Cotton Mill Village. Robert enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Newgent passed away on February 20, 2020 at his residence.

Survivors include his children Lisa Gay Newgent and Robert Glen Newgent; brother, Tommy Ray Newgent all of Fayetteville; sister, Brenda Gail Turner of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Natasha (Randall) Hancock, Dakota Jones, Rainna Quinlan, and Trevor Feltman; and great-grandchildren, Dayton Sumners, Hayden Sumners, Tevin Hancock, Camden Hancock, Jaylynn Jones, and Bryson Jones. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Newgent was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Michelle Newgent; and a granddaughter, Deona Newgent.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 7 PM on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Robert Aaron Newgent.
