Edna Frances Atchley, 69, of Fayetteville, died Saturday (March 1, 2008) at her residence.  She was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Harriet and John Thrower.  She devoted her life to the care of others having run a home for the aged on South Lincoln Avenue for years and working for Lincoln and Donalson Care Centers for over 39 years before retiring in January of this year.  She is survived by one daughter Elizabeth Rose Mastin of Fayetteville, one son Jack Atchley of the Kelso community, two sisters Geneva Phillips of Fayetteville and Jimmie Martin of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Jacqueline Atchley.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Gay officiating.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Monday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
