Obituary

Funeral service for Ms. Virginia Gleghorn Evers, of Nashville, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Whitney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery.

Virginia was born on October 9, 1927 in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the late Albert and Gertrude Wisdom Gleghorn. She graduated from Central High School and then went on to graduate from Andrew Jackson Business College in Nashville. Virginia started her career in the savings and loan business and later became a court stenographer for the Social Security Administration. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a charter member of the Jackson Chapter of the Women of Moose. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She passed from this world on February 16, 2018.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Greene; grandchildren, Sheri (Kenneth) Sullivan and Susan (Ben) Causey; great-grandchildren, Lexi Coker, Keith and Kristopher Sullivan; brothers, Charles and Paul (Pat) Gleghorn; sister, Janice Whitehead; and sister-in-laws Jean and Deann Gleghorn. In addition to her parents, Ms. Evers was preceded in death by sons, Daryl and Dane Evers; brothers, Phillip and Joe Gleghorn; and sister-in-laws, Joy and Becky Gleghorn.

Visitation with the family will be 5 PM until 7 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Ms. Virginia Gleghorn Evers.
