Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Thomas “Tom” Jefferson Decker, age 85, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.

Tom was born on May 13, 1934 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Monroe and Rossie Mae Warren Decker. He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ and worked for Walker Die Casting in Lewisburg, TN. Mr. Decker passed away on June 27, 2019.

Survivors include his wife, Doris May Decker; daughter, Darlene (T.C.) Holley of Pulaski, TN; sons, Donny (Michelle) Decker of Petersburg, TN and Michael (Donna) Decker of McBurg, TN; grandchildren, Laura Lee McClellan, Rebecca Ann Schlueter, Brent Spivey, Dana Stevenson, and Coltan Smith; seven great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Lucy Woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Juanita Cunningham, Alma Louise Jeans, Bill Decker, William Jackson Decker, Alfred Decker, Jim Decker, and Cowboy Decker.

Visitation with the family will be held at 5 PM until 8 PM on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Church of Christ, 9 Cut Off Lane, Fayetteville, TN, or the Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc, 207 N. Jackson Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Decker.
