Funeral service for Mrs. Thelma Seals, age 91, will be conducted at 2 PM on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Reverends Benny Berry and Ray Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery next to her husband Wilson Seals. Visitation with the family will be held at 12 PM until time of service at 2 PM on Friday at the church.
Mrs. Seals was born January 20, 1928 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Hershel and Belle Vann Gardner. She was a life-long resident of her beloved Vanntown community, departing this life at Bailey Manor on April 2, 2019. Mrs. Seals and her late husband, Wilson Seals who died in December 1994, reared five children, all of whom survive. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and spent the majority of her working career at Serbin Fashions in Fayetteville. She was an excellent seamstress and all of her children and grandchildren benefited from her sewing prowess.
Mrs. Seals is survived by four sons, Jimmy (Reba) Seals of Fayetteville, TN, Harold (Trenda) Seals of Fayetteville, TN, Carroll (Patty) Seals of Vanntown, TN, and Tommy (Barbara) Seals of Fayetteville, TN; one daughter, Teresa (John) Henderson of Madison, AL; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren. Additionally, Mrs. Seals is survived by seven of her eight siblings: Earline Williams of Huntsville, AL, Margie Howard of Fayetteville, TN, Barbara (Mack) Sanders, Ronald (Joan) Gardner, Ray (Brenda) Gardner, Judy (Billy) Reid, and Jo (Stanley) Davis, all of Vanntown, TN. She was predeceased by her sister Kyle Kimbrough.

My mother, Virginia Thrasher loved Thelma. They grew up together & she had nothing but great things to say about her. My mother passed a few years ago so I hope they are laughing like they use to when they were little girls. She meant the world to me too.
