Obituary

On Monday, November 6, 2017 Susie Mae Taylor received her wings and transitioned from this life to be with her lord and savior.

She was born January 3, 1938 in Lincoln County TN to the late Eldis and Emma Grace Ervin Ray. She was also nurtured by a loving aunt and uncle, Ozella and Ardell Haston, who preceded her in death. Two siblings and one granddaughter also preceded her in death: Rosie Kimbrough, Eldis Ray Jr. and Tiffany Ramey.

Survivors include daughters, Veronica King (Wayne) of Fayetteville and Vernistene Dulin of Nashville; sons, Eugene Dulin (Constance) and George Dulin, all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Collette King, Wayne King II (Renita), Toni, Paula, and Brandy Tatum, Levia, Tara and Doneisha Dulin and Dashiell Castillo (German); seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Harper, nephew, Nathaniel Jordan Jr. niece, Kimberly Parks and a devoted cousin/sister Marilyn Haston Cannon, all of Fayetteville. Very special friends Katherine Neese, Jo Ann Henderson and her neighbor, Cindy. A host of many relatives and friends.

Susie, affectionately known as “Mama Susie” by the children in her life, was a faithful member of Mt. Zion M B church and gave of her service cheerfully. She was a kind and generous woman with a kind and giving heart. Susie loved her family and was always there to share her support and advise. Family was important to her and she always put their needs first. Her biggest joy was to see her family gathered together in support of each other. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, but her memory will live in our hearts forever.

Funeral service for Mrs. Taylor will be conducted Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 2 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at 1 PM at the church.
