Obituary

Visitation for Mr. Roy Edward Phillips, age 76, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Friday, July 29, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Amory, MS on Sunday, July 31, 2016 following a graveside service at 2 p.m. Mr. Phillips passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Huntsville Hospital.

Mr. Phillips was a native of Amory, MS, the son of the late Woodrow and Vera Mae Osbon Phillips. He was an electrical engineer and a member of the Parks City Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Jo Phillips of Fayetteville, TN, daughters Kira Reed and husband Stan of Athens, AL, Jean Warnberg and husband Doug of Estill Springs, TN, sons John Phillips and wife Patty, Roark Phillips and wife Terrie all of Fayetteville, TN, Jimmy Wilbourn and wife Ellie of Gurley, AL, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Danny Phillips Memorial Scholarship at the Bank of Lincoln County.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Roy Edward Phillips.
