We knew Mrs. Odelle through First Baptist Church as well as her presence in the judicial system of Lincoln County. She was a very genuine lady and a special person who gave us much encouragement. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family now, as they have been with her through the previous months.

Mrs. Odell was such a precious lady! She and Mr. Ted worked with the teenagers at First Baptist when I first moved to Fayetteville. They were so welcoming and sweet to me. I loved them both and always looked forward to seeing them and getting one of those big bear hugs from Mr. Ted. I thank God for the example that they set not only for me, but for so many young people throughout the years.

Anthony and family, I was saddened by the loss of this precious woman. She loved you all dearly. God has an angel in his arms and she will reunite with Mr. Ted. What a blessing. Live on memories for I know you have plenty.

    God bless!

My Condolences to you Anthony, Joan, Lissa, and Ruth on the passing of your Mother, Grandmother and Sister. I’m so sorry I did not get the chance to get to Fayetteville to see Odell. We had talked at length several times in the past 3 years via telephone.

While we weren’t the closest in the later years, I do have fond memories of the visits to the house and to the “country” in general. Mother, Irene Sherwood Holder, and Odell kept in touch through Christmas cards as far back as I can remember until Mother herself took sick.

My prayers are with you all during this time of mourning and healing. May the Lord hold you close during this time.

    Love to you all, Pat

I am sorry for your loss. God has promised that one day we will not suffer from sickness and death (Isaiaih 33:24 and Revelation 21:3,4) He also provides us with the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the resurrection (John 5:28,29) We can trust these promises because it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18) May these promises provide you with a measure of comfort and hope during this most difficult time.

I have loved your mother since I was a small child. Her kindness to others will surely result in eternal rewards. She had the respect of all that knew her and was tireless in her efforts to help the public. She will be sorely missed.

I remember Mrs. Posey always having the respect of her attorney friends and going about her work quietly and with a smile. She worshipped in the same fashion. She was a model of life to many.
