Funeral service for Michael “Mike” Lee Reynolds, age 54, of Athens, AL, will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds was born on September 22, 1964 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Joseph Henry Reynolds and Barbara Allen Schou. Mike served in the US Air Force, earned his Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Athens State University, and had an extreme love for anything mechanical, including his cars. He was a senior software engineer with Colsa Corporation in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Reynolds passed away on October 25, 2018 in Limestone County, AL.
Survivors include his children, Samuel (fiance Morgan) Reynolds, Jerrell (Stephanie) Reynolds, Ambria Reynolds, and Ashton Reynolds; grandchildren, Bryson Reynolds, Krymson King, Addison King, and Ellie Reynolds; brother, Joe Reynolds; nephews, Trey Reynolds, and Christopher (Kristen) Reynolds; niece, Erin Reynolds; step-father, Carl Schou; and friend, Julie Mathis Schwarz.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM on Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Michael “Mike” Lee Reynolds.
Thank you for being my dad. I am so blessed to have a man like you to show me how to be a man. Your selflessness was unsurpassed. I’m going to do everything I can to take care of Samuel and help him grow. I love you dad and will miss you everyday. This is so hard for me dad I can’t accept it. You were a good man and I wish I told you that more. It’s going to be hard knowing your not here anymore. My life will never be the same.
I love you dad. And we will make you proud.
Mike was a really great guy and will be dearly missed by his friends and family. May God bless them in this time of loss and may they reflect upon his life with fondness and pattern their lives by his example.
