Funeral service for Ms. Mary Lucille Higgs, age 89, of Petersburg will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro Chuck Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery.  Mrs. Higgs passed away Monday, September 21 at Lincoln Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Marion Lee and Minnie E. Luna Higgs, she was a native of Lewisburg, formerly employed with Serbin as a seamstress, and a member of Red Oak Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sister Melba Thomason of Thompson Station , TN, nieces Joy Delap of Fayetteville, JoAnn Thomas of Fayetteville, great niece Shawn Wolaver of Fayetteville,  nephews Jerry Tallent of Cornersville, Jimmy Higgs of Fayetteville, Mike Higgs of Nashville, Randy, Jackie, and Keith Thomason all of Franklin, Danny Thomason of Murfreesboro, and Eddie Tallent of Fayetteville, special great-niece Jennifer Spray of Red Oak, and great-nieces Julie Hamlin and Aubrey Spray both of Fayetteville, and several  other nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM-2 PM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home.
