Graveside service for Mrs. Mary Fanning Thornton, age 96, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Bro. Mike Robertson officiating.

Survivors include her daughter, Vera Ellen (Ed) Campbell of Fayetteville, TN; sons, Wayne (Cathy) Thornton and Raymond (Arlene Ann) Thornton; grandchildren, Douglas (Cindy) Campbell, Lee (Stacy) Campbell, Scharlene (Lonnie) Jennings, Raymond (Samantha) Thornton, Danessa (David) Herd, Shanna (Andy) Rodriguez, Courtney (Chad) Brow; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Thornton and parents, Rufus Talley and Vera Gattis Fanning.

Visitation with family will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Thornton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincoln Home Health and Hospice at 2250 Thornton Taylor Pkwy B, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
